Screen-printing

I have completed my first screen-printed scarf design. I am really happy with the outcome even when tackling the screens about the size of me!

Work in Progress...

As the end is near, I thought I would post some images from the last few weeks of intense printing.. It is the end of an era as we say goodbye to the studio and hello to real life! The collection has come together and I am looking forward to presenting to the world...

Screen-printing

I have managed to put my sail scarf design into production using screen-printing! I have used a variety of fabrics including Silk Bamboo and Wool Delaine and I have explored various colour ways. These are smaller versions, almost handkerchief size, of what I will be producing as life-size square scarves for my design show!

Bradford Textiles Society

I entered these mood boards for Bradford Textiles competition, to explore the concept of the designs I have produced so far.

New Project!

This week I have been working on some new drawings to start thinking about composing designs for my final, major project! I am sticking with the theme of tall ships and introducing textures with illustration work. This coming week I hope to get down into the print room and start working on some designs!

I like using this illustrative style and I am looking forward to developing these into prints! I have also used my computer skills to play with the colour of the lines on the ship...

Watch this space for printing and designing developments!
