Tea-towels!

Alongside my new crafty adventures, I have continued to work on creating patterns and prints for home decor and stationery items. This is something I have a huge passion for and I want to continue working on building new collections. This is just a reminder about the tea-towels I have created, which are now available to buy in the beautiful gift shop in Wirral, 'Gifts For Me and You' and also on my Etsy page..

Tonic Studios - Create and Craft

It's been a very busy few weeks but I am so pleased that I have joined the design and presenting team for Tonic Studios - a very reputable brand in the craft industry with tons of experience and fabulous designs. My new role will be a guest presenter on the Create and Craft channel, demonstrating their wonderful products and (hopefully) doing a brilliant job of promoting new releases. It has already been a lot of fun working with the team and collaborating ideas, as well as, working alongside some of the most well-known names in the industry.

I have already been involved in a few of the live shows and, although I was very nervous, it has been a truly brilliant experience so far and one that I can't wait to continue. I will be sharing my experiences and projects throughout social media and using this as a platform to showcase the great new products from Tonic. I can't wait to hear what you all think and thanks so much to everyone so far that has supported me on this new journey!

Craft Workshops

I have also been involved with the local shop Gifts For Me and You, supporting some of their events and expanding their shop and businesses. I was asked to host a kids craft workshop party and it was a great success. I chose a project that meant they had something to take away and it was so nice to hear lovely feedback from the kids and adults alike. Crafting has always been enjoyable for me and I love seeing others getting involved and being creative!

Stationery

I have been lucky enough to see some of my dreams become a reality in the past couple of months and I am looking forward to some new adventures very soon.

We have the most beautiful weekend watching my older sister get married and I was over the moon and honoured to be a part of helping her day be everything she wished for! Everyone did their bit and I was in charge of stationery and any other creative input. I was really pleased with the outcome of everything I contributed for their day and we had some lovely comments on how personal the whole day felt!

I love being able to share my creativity with others to make them a personal gift or something that they will always appreciate.

I have also been lucky enough to see some of my patterned products come to life which has been a great experience. I have used a number of patterns and created notebooks, memo pads and even tea-towels to showcase in a local shop! So pleased with this outcome and I hope it continues to build a lovely network of creatives.

Kids Patterns

I spent a few days last week designing some new patterns for use on kidswear patterns. I thought this would be a nice additional project to my portfolio and I was pleased with some of the results. I'm also wondering whether it would work on some homeware and gifts as the floral patterns are quite versatile and I like the colour combination. I thought I would share to see what you think...

Wedding 2016

I was thrilled to visit the beautiful setting where my cousin was getting married in France. After spending a few late nights making sure everything was signed, sealed and delivered on time, it was a fantastic event for us all to enjoy, relax and appreciate our beautiful surroundings.

I was also over the moon to see all my hard work on the stationery come together and receive lovely comments for the designs.

Fresh new stock!

I love receiving a new delivery and this past week has been very exciting as I received a fresh bundle of greeting cards from the printers! For this small collection, I decided to focus on a bit of typography  and use black and white to really make it stand out. I do love hand-illustration and after playing around with new hand-writing and combining the lettering I am really pleased with the results and I think this will definitely be something I continue with! I have also just posted these items up for sale on my Etsy page, so feel free to take a look..

New Artwork

Recently, I have been working on some commission based work for a couple of different people and products. One I would like to share with you was just recently created for a company called 'Nauteas' I was asked if I could design some of their branded stationery, based on the illustrations they use throughout their packaging. I really like the detailed style of these illustrations and hope to work on some more soon! These were the results...
